The Grinch's heart grew three sizes today at Hart and Puster Elementary Schools during their annual Grinch Day! District Leadership spent the morning spreading holiday cheer (and a little confusion) as they read to each Kindergarten class. While some students were unsure about Superintendent Kordel's Grinchy ways, their frowns turned upside down when they received their very own copy of How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Happy Holidays! Lovejoy ISD will be closed December 20th through January 7th for Winter Break. We wish our Lovejoy community a holiday season filled with joy, warmth, family, and new memories. The Majestics Dance Team seniors traveled to New York City over Thanksgiving break and performed with over 700 Spirit of America Dance Stars in the 98th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The dancers spent time exploring the city, seeing the Radio City Rockettes, attending a show on Broadway, and of course rehearsing, walking, and performing in the parade. The Majestics were grateful for the opportunity to spread Leopard Spirit and represented our Lovejoy community with grace on such a large stage!!! A BIG thank you to Majestics Director, Jacklyn Simone, for facilitating this phenomenal learning experience! #KidsComeFirst #OneHeartOneLovejoy #LegacyofExcellence

Save the Date! Lovejoy ISD and PTO are hosting a community wide program presented by LISD’s Director of Safety and Security, Casey Littlefield. We hope that you will join us on Wednesday, January 15th at the LHS Auditorium at 6pm as Casey shares the Standard Response Protocols used within schools as well as CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event). CRASE provides strategies and guidance for surviving an active shooter event. If you have ever asked yourself, what should I do if confronted with an active shooter event, come learn the strategies of Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD).
