Comprehensive School Counseling Program

The mission of the Lovejoy ISD Guidance and Counseling Department is to propel students to personal excellence by equipping them with academic, emotional, and social skills to unlock their full potential. 

Following the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling programs, our School Counselors seek to meet the priority needs of students through four delivery system components:

Individual Planning

Lovejoy ISD school counselors assist individual students as the student plans, monitors, and manages the student’s own educational, career, personal, and social development. 

Guidance

Lovejoy ISD school counselors develop and lead the implementation of our social-emotional learning as well as guidance curriculum to help students develop their full potential. 

Responsive Services

Lovejoy ISD school counselors intervene on behalf of any student whose immediate personal concerns or problems put the student’s continued educational, career, personal, or social development at risk. 

System Support

Lovejoy ISD school counselors support the efforts of teachers, staff, parents, and other members of the community in promoting the educational, career, personal and social development of students.

If a parent/guardian has any questions regarding the counselor or counseling services, they are asked to call the school counselor or one of the school administrators in the building the student(s) attends.
