The Board of Trustees approved the formation of a Bond Planning Committee at the September 30, 2024 Board Meeting. Lovejoy ISD invites you to be a vital part of Lovejoy ISD’s future by applying to serve on our Bond Planning Committee. This is an opportunity for you to help shape the educational environment and opportunities for our students. As we look ahead to supporting our District’s capital improvement needs, your input is invaluable to our planning process.

The Bond Planning Committee will study District facility and capital needs and recommend priorities to the Board of Trustees for a possible future bond election. This will include items such as facilities, fleet, technology, furniture, fixtures, equipment, etc. Serving in an advisory capacity, Lovejoy ISD’s Bond Planning Committee will provide input in support of District strategic goals and associated short and long-range capital needs. The Bond Planning Committee will strategically balance the District's identified capital needs and long-term financial decision making in order to achieve Lovejoy ISD’s mission and commitment to the Lovejoy experience.

We are seeking committee membership from all segments of our community. Your unique perspectives will help us create a comprehensive plan that reflects our community's aspirations and addresses our challenges and opportunities.

If you are interested in serving on the Bond Planning Committee, please complete the application form linked here by Monday, October 14, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. Applicants will be notified of their status by the end of the business day on Wednesday, October 16th.

All meetings will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the exception of Saturday, December 14th. Please make sure you can attend on the following dates prior to submitting an application.

• Saturday, December 14, 2024 | 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

• Monday, January 13, 2025 | 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

• Tuesday, January 28, 2025 | 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
