Lovejoy ISD is committed to providing a world-class education to all students. Gifted and talented students receive instruction with an emphasis on depth and complexity, thinking, research, project-based learning (products and performances), and opportunities to make connections locally and globally.
Definition - Gifted/Talented Students
Chapter 29 of the Texas Education code defines gifted and talented as "a child or youth who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment and who: (1) exhibits high performance capability in an intellectual, creative, or artistic area; (2) possesses an unusual capacity for leadership; or (3) excels in a specific academic field."

Design of Services
Lovejoy ISD serves students identified as academically gifted. Services include instruction in the four core foundational areas- math, science, English, and social studies.
